You all may recall
Bear, who was found with what looked like a HUGE bite out of his back and had to undergo surgery to repair the wound, and then had to endure heartworm treatment. His foster mom wrote with an update below:
Hi Everyone!
Sorry it has been so long since I have updated you on Bear. Overall he is doing great considering where he started, but he has started to have small seizures. I have watched him and the only thing I can see that brings the seizures on is eating or drinking fast. Dr. Good said that the only way to really know what is causing this is to see a neurologist and have testing done. Right now I have decided to watch him, keep track of what seems to be going on when he starts to have a seizure and hold off on any treatment.
He has finally gained enough weight to look healthy! He is still a very picky eater but seems to have a much better appetite. I am going to take him to be neutered and have his shots in the

next couple of weeks. The best news is his heartworm treatment worked, he tested clear of all heartworms! I have a couple of people who have expressed interest in adopting him, it will have to be a special home that will understand his limitations. The Doctor has suggested that he go to a home with no young children or other medium to large sized dogs.
Bear does not have the protection of his spine where the injury was and could be hurt if played with too rough. I would also like to see him with someone who can either be home with him or take him to work with them, he is happiest when he is with people.
He is such a loving boy who loves small dogs and puppies! As I have said so many times...

Thank You all for helping save this ANGEL!!!
