A Husky Wannabe Needs a Loving Home

This is posted on behalf of Northern California Sled Dog Rescue.  For information on Miranda, or to adopt, please use the links below to contact the foster home

Meet our newest husky wannabe! At only 7 pounds, Miranda is beating all the odds stacked against her! Paraplegic and in heat, someone dumped her on a highway, where she was hit by a car, but seems to have suffered minor injuries.  A Good Samaritan saw her, pulled her out of  the highway, and took her to a vet. And the next day to the local shelter, where I met her.

Scared out of her mind, but still sweet to everyone... I just couldn't leave her to her fate, which was the euthanasia list when her owners never came to claim her.  Everyone at the shelter loved her; another Good Samaritan donated her little cart, which she loves!

Miranda is incontinent and needs to wear a diaper and be cleaned a few times a day.  My vet and acupuncturist thinks we may be able to improve her bladder control, and possibly get more use in her legs; she can feel as far down as her knees, and she is only 2 years old!

One look into those eyes and you will give her your heart.

Miranda loves everyone with a kind word or touch, but she really wants a human of her own to love and give her whole heart to.

She is a quiet girl, and mostly wants to lie in your lap and be with you.  She will cuddle forever!  Miranda believes, as do I, that there is someone out there with a heart big enough for a tiny girl with a big spirit. She would be an amazing Therapy dog!

Miranda is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on all shots now.

We are looking for:
  • a temporary foster home
  • a sponsor for her acupuncture treatments.

For more info, or to sponsor or adopt her, please email sedna101@aol.com
