Underneath the scabs, sores, and fear is an elegant and fluffy Malamute. His rescuers saw the beauty and need for love underneath it all, especially when, despite all he's been through... he wags his tail at the slightest show of affection.Word is getting around and help has been flowing in, but he's got a long way to go in his Journey.
Suffering from lice, two types of mange and malnourished, he has 4-6 weeks of recovery, and probably more to gain the trust of humans once again.
Journey is in foster care of the Illinois Alaskan Malamute Rescue Association and under the care of the Yorkville Animal Hospital until he's back to being a fluffy, lovable Malamute and will then be up for adoption.
